Audra J. Lee
Audra Lee is a native of Pittsburgh where she was born, raised, but recently has relocated to Washington, D.C proper.
Through experiences with family and friends, Lee developed a passion for understanding people, and being able to connect with them on a deeper level. Lee’s passion grew into a stronger desire to assist people in their process of mental healing once she recognized the huge stigma connected to mental health that kept people suffering in silence. Audra’s path lead her to obtaining her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Psychology. She later went on to receive her master’s degree from Seton Hill University in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Audra Lee, now is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist doing everything in her power to close that deficit and help people find their voice. In 2016, she opened her own private practice, A Lee Consulting. Later that year, she joined a group of esteemed colleagues in the field at The Center for Relational Change, where she provided individual, couples, and family therapy.
Audra’s philosophy is that “In order to begin creating change, one must first understand the complexities of themselves and their interpersonal relationships.” As well as therapy, she has worked as a consultant at The Good Peoples Group, where their mission is to educate individuals & organizations in the process of disrupting oppression, through hands on workshops and training's.
In addition, Lee taught psychology at Seton Hill University as an adjunct professor and served as a board member for the school’s marriage and family therapy program, where she assisted in making decisions on policy and curriculum.
Audra's desire for a while was to relocate to Washington D. C where she could continue her work in fusing mental health awareness in conjunction with social justice advocacy. Recently, Lee made that wish a reality. While Lee get's settled into her new role as a resident of the nations capital, In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga and connecting with the people she loves.
